On the Mat Day 268: Neck Pain

I think my wife wanted to sabotage me going to training last night. She stuffed me going out the door by requesting I help put the kids in the bath. I was about 20 minutes later out the door than usual and the lazy voice was whispering in my ear to just stay at home and not train. But I didn't want her to win so went to train anway!

I have some neck pain from training triangles on Sunday. It's like a small knot of tight muscle on the left side that gave me a terrible headache for 2 days. I may have to go to a chiropractor again to loosen it up. I still had a good session of training and caught people in triangles but as soon as they went to stack me I loosened up my legs because the strain was too much on my neck. I'd rather let them pass and work escapes than make the pain worse.

After class I came home and watched a couple of Youtube videos. One of them was the match below. I think it should have been called a draw and both guys share the cash. I feel bad for the Russian not get the cash after working his arse off.

Sparring time: 7 x 6 mins = 42 mins
Notable moments: Granby roll to triangle. Ankle lock in 50/50. (Need to find out how to get out of this effectively).
