Since I started doing BJJ I have not done a pull up or push up with any real intention. Day 2 of P90X changed that. It was good to get down and do some good honest muscle pumping work. I missed it in a way. I can tell that BJJ has made my core strong but my upper body strength is not as good as when I used to weight train. The only exception was when I did close grip pull ups. That's probably because it mimics the close grip chokes from full guard.
I feel the muscle ache today. It's a good feeling but it's not as bad as I expected.
